What is Dyslexia Therapy?

Language-based therapy specifically designed for children seven years and older is available in a 1:1 setting utilizing Take Flight: A Comprehension Intervention for Students with Dyslexia (Take Flight) developed by Scottish Rite for Children.

Take Flight addresses the five components of effective reading instruction identified by the National Reading Panel’s research and is a comprehensive Tier III intervention for students with dyslexia.

Children under the age of seven can complete language-based therapy to strengthen all components of literacy instruction utilizing a research-based approach, Build: A K-1 Early Reading Intervention, developed by the Scottish Rite suited for emergent readers presenting at-risk for dyslexia.   • Early Intervention

    Build: A K-1 Early Reading Intervention is designed to be implemented by Dyslexia Therapists and/or CALTs for children in Kindergarten and first- grade presenting as at-risk for dyslexia. The comprehensive intervention recently developed by the Scottish Rite for Children addresses the five components of early literacy development.

  • Dyslexia Therapy

    Take Flight is an intervention designed specifically for individuals with a diagnosis of dyslexia and are at least seven years of age. Implemented by Dyslexia Therapists and/or CALTs, Take Flight is an effective intervention that is evidence-based and backed by research. Take Flight is about a two-year program that requires four sessions a week of 1:1 instruction.
